This filter is great. The vitamin C filter is recent his time is terrible thought. Its already finished and usually lasts a month. Very disappointing and makes me think I need to find a different filter.
I live in texas and have been trying everything to get the chloramine out... I've tried all the filters, from cheap ones to expensive ones, this was the only one that did it. Confirmed results with a DPD test.
I would’ve given this item 5 starts BUT unfortunately it only lasted me one week. The product is GREAT the issues is I live in a desert and the water here is extremely hard. The filter in the left was placed on March 30 today April 12 I’m replacing it with the new filter one on the right. This will be perfect for anyone who doesn’t live in such hard areas. It did make a huge difference in my hair and skin, but since we only had it in one shower to try it on and it’s a family of 4 I guess we used it too quick.I already received a new one for my other shower so they should last longer now.
You at AquaYouth have a fantastic product. I moved in January and got really sick. I could not figure it out. I went to the doctor, and it was determined there was toxicity in my tapwater…Turns out it was the water in the new place making me sick! You can guess which one was the water from my tap. That’s right, the one on the right! After the filter, on the left!I feel much safer showering with your filter installed. I’m looking to move, but ATM the filter helps a whole lot. I really appreciate your company. I did a lot of research before choosing, and hands down you all were the best. You’re filter even helps with pesticides, the main problem in my water.Thank you all at AquaYouth!
This is my 3rd time purchasing this water filter. It works great! As you can see, I’ve posted a picture of the new filter vs the used one. You can see all of the dirt and grime that flows through and is caught over the course of a couple months! This works great for people with sensitive acne prone skin! After a couple months you can tell when the filter needs replaced. The filter will begin to fill with dirt and I begin having skin problems again. I’d recommend replacing the filter every 2-3 months to keep its effectiveness.
This is a really good filter. I am on my second filter. I recommend this to my friends and everyone try it for just as a main filtration system in the shower. Water has many contaminants and the Activated Card does Help eliminate some of them as well as trap sediments. Some points:I have hard water in FL. The filter may have softened the water very slightly but not significant in anyway. For that would need to try Vitamin C filter. My filter trapped a lot of sediments, pretty nasty. I was happy that my shower head did not have build up and the filter trapped it all.The design is really nice in my opinion. Very sleek. I like that you can see all the gunk that is trapped on the filter to know it is doing it's job!The filters are a good price compared to anything on the market that has any value that I have seen.Final point to buy is their customer service. I wrote to them on a Saturday and they emailed me back immediately. I think I had a slightly defective filter and a very very quick sediment build up bc my water pressure and I could see was going way down. They sent me a new filter ASAP!Also the filters are made in Korea and NOT CH*NA!!! INSTANTLY I'm all for that for many reasons which I will not get into.Purchase 9.5/10Hope you found my review helpful.
This product effectively removes a significant amount of Chlorine from the water. Make sure to bleed your shower line prior to installing.
I did an extensive amount of reading a sifting through products before I landed on which shower filter to purchase. I was sold on this one, because it’s NSF certified and you can verify it by checking the NSF Products and Systems registry. The lazy ones out there will say they don’t see Aqua Youth on the registry; that’s because the patented filter that removes all of the sediments is made by UBS and the name of the product they patented is called moolmang, which is literally stamped on the product itself. I just did your homework for you, so you’re welcome. To date, there are only three NSF certified shower filters that can officially say they remove a substantial amount of chlorine from water. Apparently Aqua Youth has the most dramatic results… and that little Aqua Bliss filter that keeps showing up at the top of the Amazon search results is nowhere to be found on the NSF product registry… so, bloop! NSF/ANSI 177 is the certification standard that claims a product reduces the amount of free chlorine in the water. NSF/ANSI 372 is the certification standard that claims there is less than 0.25% lead content in the water by weight.I also saw a review from someone reducing the number of stars because the product was claimed to be made in the USA, but it’s actually made in Korea. What a joke. The filter and its housing, moolmang, are made in Korea. The rest of the product is assembled and distributed in the US. And whoever said that is such a goofy, because if anyone knows anything about Korea, they are the leaders in skincare technology and science… so if any product that claims to be clean or good for my skin is coming from Korea, trust and believe I’m jumping on it, just off of the strength of the relationship I have with all of my K-Beauty products.I tested everything out myself and got the OTO Clorox drops. When I dropped 5 drops in there, my tap water looked like diluted pee. The water from the Aqua Youth was still crystal clear. To give the customer more ease, they even include an info sheet with all of the tests run in order to receive the NSF certifications AND the results of each test.Be a fool if you want to by NOT getting this shower filter. It’s the only one that can stand behind its claims and is easily verifiable by a simple search on the NSF website. Don’t waste your money on that other crap… or do. Your life.
I was pleasantly surprised a small filter was able to get out as much chlorine as it did. Our tap water has really high chlorine. We have reverse osmosis for drinking water, but we were aware that we were showering in that water. This came recommended by someone on well water. I did the chlorine test using my pool chemical test. There was still some chlorine in the filtered shower water, but most of it is filtered out. The pic shows the chlorine in the tap water (bright yellow) and the filtered shower water (very light yellow). I would have given it 5 stars if it knocked out all of the chlorine.
Bought the original set January 2024 and replacement filter January 2025. For a couple with a toddler I’m surprised the filter lasted so long. I noticed October- November 2024 the rainwater shower heads pressure was really low and that’s when it clicked the filter probably needed to be replaced. When I took it out there was this gross brown film on it and I had no idea how great this filter really is!Our area had great water that we could drink tap water from the sink and hose (this generations new nostalgia) then a few years ago got constant boil water notices and chlorine was added to the water to the point our skin had white flakes or some kind of dust that dried out our skin and hair it was defiantly time for a change that let’s be honest the county doesn’t care about it’s people so we have to make a change ourselves. No more suspicious white flakes on our skin, no more dry skin the minute we get out the shower! It’s so easy to install and we used everything in the kit so I’m not sure why others had leaks or drips, but then everyone’s fixtures are different. This is not a sponsored post nor am I a influencer. I bought this with my 40 hour work week money :)
UPDATE - look at the filter after 6 months! I know I have hard water... but this looks like brown crud! My water turns everything a pinkish brown tint. This makes it seem like my water is even worse. Now i feel i need a whole house filter... i am cooking and drinking this stuff?! So thankful for this filter!!ORIGINAL REVIEWI tried one of those handheld showerhead filters a few years back. I loved the difference the filter made but the water pressure was too much compared to my low GPM showerhead and I had to return it. I had been looking for a filter that would do something similar but allow me to use my own showerhead. Enter this AquaYouth filter!INSTALLATION- super easy. You might need a wrench to make sure you can tighten a little more than by hand, but other than that you shouldn't need any tools. Initially it did leak a little bit after install but it just needed an extra tightening, and no more leaking!PERFORMANCE- it doesn't seem to have any affect on water pressure. Initially it is lower while the filter housing is filling with water but then it seems to go back to normal. My public water is extremely hard.. it is full of chlorine and other metals I don't even know. My water eventually turns everything a sort of pink color.. it isn't rust colored, but lighter and more pink. When I was in Florida last year I noticed that the water literally FELT different. I then wondered if the water I shower in is causing a lot of my hair and skin dryness. So far, I notice less tightness in my skin after showering. I haven't noticed anything significant in my hair yet, but will report back. Excited to see what the filter looks like after a few months!
Thank you Aquayouth! Been using the Aquayouth shower filter for over a month and all I can say is that this filter does the job by cutting out the chlorine completely and other elements like sand and odor which come through that are in our water. We use to have dry and itchy skin and we tried many different shower filters that failed to clean the water. After using Aquayouth shower filter, the wife and I noticed we have no itchy or dry skin from our water since the first week I've installed it. The reason I waited to write the review after noticing improvement from week 1 was to see if our skin was going to improve even better and it has.
This is a great product and it works.
Would recommend this product.
The team at Aquayouth, if you read this please also consider to also make a faucet filter for the bathroom and kitchen faucet with a similar design. I think it would be wonderful since we are washing our fruits and vegetables and hands everyday, cutting out the chlorine and harmful elements, it is very important to have clean water. Thank you.
Changing the filter made a huge difference in the water pressure of the shower. It was fast and easy to replace.
Never received my items and filed a request which has not been processed or resolved.
Our water pressure got better, love the shower head we got with the filter
So happy to be filtering our well water and reducing copper from the pipes going in the hot water heater!
I have only had this for a week or so so I’m not sure how wonderful it’s going to be. I am happy to know there will be no more chlorine or chloride and a lot more things going on our bodies to that are harmful.
I will say I’m wish the shower head would be more flexible. Unless you have a huge shower, the water sprays too far out and needs to be able to be aimed more downward. This is a problem for those that have small walk in showers.
The vitamin C filter was very loose and expended in 4 showers. The last ones ive had last almost a month . Very disappointed
It took almostc3cweeks to arrive. It was actually in my town for 7 days. I think it got lost.
The water pressure was good, the filter seemed to work well but after a couple uses the water started spraying sideways out of a couple of the holes instead of straight. It is a little overpriced for the quality. Would not buy again.
