"Exceeds NSF 177" is not a certification
Lots of shower filters online say they meet, exceed or are "tested to" NSF standards. Anyone can write that. A real certification has a listing on NSF's own website that you can check in a minute. Here's what to look for, on any brand, including ours.
NSF International certifies the 2.0 Carbon filter (UMV-DS10CR) and its DS10 replacement cartridge, both made by UBS Inc. in Incheon, Korea. NSF keeps the live listings on its own site, so you don't have to take our word, or a screenshot, for it.

Questions
Will it lower my water pressure?
Most customers notice no change. If your pressure is already very low you may feel a small difference. If the flow drops over time, the cartridge is usually due for replacement.
Will it fit my shower?
Yes, if your shower arm uses the standard US 1/2" thread, which almost all do. It screws on between the arm and your existing shower head, so you keep the head you have, fixed or handheld.
How often do I replace the cartridge?
Each cartridge filters about 3,500 gallons, roughly 3 to 4 months for most households. A drop in flow or the chlorine smell coming back are signs it's time.
How do I know it's working?
Most people notice the chlorine smell is gone first. To check for yourself, test the water before and after the filter with DPD chlorine test tablets.
Is it really NSF certified?
Yes. The filter design is certified to NSF/ANSI 177 (free chlorine reduction) and NSF/ANSI 372 (lead-free materials). The listing is under our manufacturer, UBS Inc., model UMV-DS10CR, on NSF's public database.
What if it doesn't work for me?
You can return it within 30 days of delivery. If you simply change your mind, a 15% restocking fee and the return shipping cost come out of your refund.
